Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park Campground is located off the Coquihalla Highway, less than half an hour south of Kamloops. Due to the elevation, this park features cooler weather than parks in the desert valleys to the north and south, a welcome relief during summer. Hiking, swimming, boating and nature appreciation are all popular activities within the park. Campsite reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
This municipal campground is located east of Kamloops on Dallas Drive. The campground has both RV hook ups and tent sites and is conveniently right off the Trans-Canada Highway.
The Thompson region boasts 25 provincial campgrounds. Opening/closing dates and facilities vary; not all take reservations. $5-$18.50 per party per night. Campgrounds open April to mid-September From Mar. 1 to Sep. 15, make reservations for a fee with Discover Camping, 1-800-689-9025. For information on individual campgrounds, contact B.C. This park/campground offers 90 vehicle accessible campsites and a variety of recreation opportunities, all within close proximity to Kamloops. Campground amenities include a boat dock and rental facility, adventure playground, hiking trails and flush toilets. The park's 400 m of sandy beach is ideal for swimming and relaxing, while anglers will enjoy the park's many fishing opportunities.
